The Hanna Test Centre (HTC) is located south of the town of Hanna, Alberta. It was created for the purpose of providing a site to conduct comprehensive research, development, testing, education services and facilities to manufacturers, industry organizations, academic and government agencies in various fields, but mostly transportation.Our mission is to work with our clients to create safer and improved products; training of emergency and dangerous goods personnel; assist in research programs for alternate fuels, autonomous vehicle designs and other safety related programs.With Phase 1 Currently well underway we have a fully operational 3.5km oval road test track with a stretch of passing lane. With a 60 x 40 ft building in place we offer a safe secure area for your vehicle or trainning needs.Our off road track is under development and will soon be available.

HTC is a company, incorporated in Alberta, and is owned by Randolph W. Baerg (PEng), Steve Carter (BSc), Michael Macnabb (PEng), Vladimir Panlilio (PEng) and Craig Luker (PEng)All of the owners will be extensively involved in the day-to-day activities of the test centre as well as management aspects. There is already a strong working relationship among the owners.Michael Macnabb and Randolph Baerg are owners of Innovative Vehicle Testing (IVT) www.ivt-eng.com , a major client of HTC. Steve Carter is very involved in IVT activities as a senior technician. Michael Macnabb and Vladimir Panlilio have over 40 years of experience with Transport Canadas Road Safety Directorate, RCMP and municipal police collision analysts.

Our facility includes a 3.5km oval track with a stretch of passing lane, and a 500 m radius loop. We have a 60 x 40 ft steel building that can be utilized if needed. The cost depends upon your needs and type of vehicle to be used. For the biggest truck and sole use of the whole facility the cost is $2000 per day, smaller vehicles and partial use of the facility will cost less per day. Similarly, businesses that import large service vehicles require the vehicles to be certified before being sold in Canada.· Simulate highway infrastructure and appurtenances in a controlled environment for training and research purposes· allow vehicles to be driven at high speeds, perform complex and dangerous maneuvers in a safe manner for both the driver of the vehicle and the motoring public.· provide a venue for emergency vehicle operations training of police and other personnel· stage training scenarios for emergency first responders and vehicle recovery personnel· provide a venue for research in autonomous vehicles, fuel economy/alternate fuel testing in an environment that ensures the safety of the motoring public and the integrity of the test
